NORWAY IN THE AUTUMN - 2023 TOUR
Join me this autumn in Norway's most fabled national park, Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella, for the opportunity to photograph some of the country’s most spectacular wildlife and landscapes. The national park is the only area in Europe where a viable and wild population of musk oxen can be found! As well as the Musk Oxen, Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella is home to wild Reindeer, Arctic Foxes, Wolverines, Golden Eagles and Ravens. Together with other species, they constitute a unique mountain ecosystem which makes Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella a must-visit location for any nature lover.
During this tour our primary focus will be on photographing the magnificent Musk Oxen and at this time of year the autumn colours will be peaking, transforming the landscape. Whilst out in the mountains photographing the Musk Oxen, it is also very possible to photograph Moose, Reindeer and if we’re very lucky, Arctic Foxes.
Whilst in Norway we will be surrounded by beautiful landscapes and on day three, as we rest our legs, we will take a drive into the Norwegian valleys and dedicate the whole day to photographing the Siberian Jays and the breathtaking landscapes that Norway has to offer.

It is always possible to see other wildlife, such as Moose, on our way back to the accommodation. We will then go through images and have dinner together.
Day Three - We will leave the accommodation before sunrise and head into the Norwegian valleys to photograph predominantly landscapes and Siberian Jays, with potential to stop and photograph other wildlife on the way such as Moose and Reindeer. We will then go through images and have dinner together.

Fitness required for your trip?
This tour requires you to have a good level of fitness. When photographing the Musk Oxen it is possible to walk up to 20km, but this of course depends on where the animals are at the time and it could be much, much less.
We’ll be out all day and this ensures we can walk at a leisurely pace and take plenty of breaks, which also provides great opportunities to take in the surrounding landscapes.
