Richard Campion, Wildlife and Nature Photographer
Born in the midlands, where my grandparents own a farm, it’s easy to see where my love for the natural world and being outdoors spawned. I was obsessed with animals from a young age, breeding stick-insects in my bedroom and constantly pestering my mother into letting me have every pet you could possibly imagine.
I was raised on the small island of Jersey, where I spent most of my spare time surfing and in 2020 my wife and I moved to Devon. I now spend most of my days belly-down, on the edge of a field looking for hares, or sat on a riverbank photographing dippers. Away from photography I still enjoy surfing. I’m also a keen snowboarder and love exploring new places on my bike or in my camper van.
